1/Feb/2010: Dr. Majid Poshtan, Assistant Professor, the Electrical Engineering Department, and Mr. Mohamed Ghazi, a PI-EE graduate, were recognized by the EE Department for receiving the 2009 ADCO Paper Award for their paper on “Intelligent Distributed Autonomous Electric Energy System for UAE”.
9/Jan/2010: Results of the 2009 Annual PI Awards, presented at the Commencement Ceremony on the 9th of January, 2010. Read more.
25/Nov/2009: Dr. Mahmoud Meribout, Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering was invited and served as an External Examiner for a PhD dissertation at University Blaise Pascal of Science & Technologies, Clermont Ferrand, France. The title of the dissertation was “Design of a Low-Cost Localization System using GPS.”
24/Nov/2009: Dr. Abdurrahim El-Keib was recognized by the PI for his recognition at the General Meeting of the IEEE/PES held in Calgary, Canada for his Distinguished Service to the IEEE/PES/Energy Development and Power Generation Committee. Read more.
24/Nov/2009: Four Electrical Engineering student teams were recognized by the EE Department for winning 4 awards for the PI at the 4th IEEE-UAE Students’ Day competitions, which involved ten UAE Universities. Read more.
